Make a beautiful decoration to hang outside on Memorial Day to show your patriotism and you can use it again on July 4th.
Stuff you’ll need:
- Wreath hoop (or embroidery hoop, basket hoop or you can create your own hoop made with wire—get a parent to help you with this)
- Cheap plastic tablecloths in white, red and blue
- Fishing wire
- Scissors
- First cut each tablecloth into strips approximately one inch wide. You will want these to be at least three feet long but they could be longer. The important measurement is the width here. Depending on the hoop you will probably need about six strips of each color.
- Fold each strip in half.
- Place the fold in the strip under the hoop to make a loop, then take the ends and pull them through the loop you made in your strip. Pull them tight to hold in place.
- Now go round the hoop alternating your colors red, white and blue until you have filled the hoop.
- Tie and knot your fishing wire each side of the hoop and hang up high so your decoration waves in the breeze.
