Make this heart carrier for all of your mail.
Here is what you need:
Here is what you do:
1. Cut the corner from the bottom of the box so that the side of the box is the same length as the bottom of the box. The open side of the triangle will be the top of your heart container.
2. Use a pencil to trace around one edge of the box on the red paper. Cut around the tracing, leaving an extra inch of paper on each side. Cut a second piece of paper the same size to cover the other edge of the triangle.
3. Trace around the two sides of the point of the box. Turn the drawing into a heart by drawing two bumps on the top. Cut out a heart shape for each side of the box.
4. Cover the entire outside of the box with glue. Glue the side papers on each edge of the box, folding the extra paper down over the sides of the box. Trim off any extra paper.
5. Glue a heart to the front and the back of the box.
6. Decorate the heart with pretty trims. Use the trims to make your initials in the center of the heart on one side of the carrier.
7. Punch a hole in the top edge of each side of the heart box. Cut two 18-inch (46-cm) pieces of yarn. String a piece through each hole, then bring all four ends of the yarn up to the center above the heart and tie them to make a handle for the carrier.
This heart carrier looks pretty hanging up when not in use.
