Don’t recycle your newspaper until you’ve reviewed this issue focused on fun and creative ways to fold, roll, cut, and convert this week’s stories into gifts for your dad, grandpa, uncle, brother or friend. Learn the history of Father’s Day, how it developed over time and how newspapers helped spread the word across the country. Treat your guy to a homemade hammock made of old issues and some imagination. Think about his special qualities and make a one-of-a-kind “coat of arms” using illustrations in the news. Have more family fun by completing an “a-mazing” race. Wrap up “Dad’s Day” with some matching donuts, then think about a new holiday just for YOU! Let the celebrating continue!
