Flying thousands of miles across the ocean is easy on an airplane. You sit back, relax, and let technology carry you to far away lands. Imagine making this same journey using only your wings! Such wings would need to be strong, wide, and powerful. The mighty albatross is a bird built for long distance travel! One of the largest flying seabirds, the albatross can soar hundreds of miles in search of food for itself and its young. But scooping up food from the sea sometimes includes scooping up pieces of manmade trash that pollute the environment. The worst offender? Plastic! What can you do? Plenty!
