Trees are so important to a healthy planet that they have their own day of honor! Arbor Day comes once a year as a reminder to celebrate all that trees provide—clean air, homes for animals, and food for our tables. Planting tress on Arbor Day is a civic action that helps sustain a healthier earth, and many community organizations look for volunteers to help! You can join by planting something new in your own backyard. Will it be a tree that grows fruit for your table, provides a home for birds and squirrels, or offers a shady spot on a hot summer day? Your choice!
