Carpenters

Kids are “natural-born” builders. From the time toddlers begin to grip objects and stack blocks, they love to build towers, bridges, buildings, models, or forts. Some kids continue building when they’re teenagers and young adults, and decide to turn a hobby into a career. Building with wood is what carpenters—or those in construction trades—love to do. From doghouses to people houses, carpenters plan, design, measure, cut, and assemble just about anything with wood! Combining skills with creative ideas makes carpenters artists as well! If you like building things, you’ll love carpentry and may decide to make this your career.

In this issue students will:

  • match appropriate tools for a job
