Kids have BIG feelings, little feelings and everything in between. Here’s a topic that will help children understand that the many different ways they feel are all part of being human! Because there are 43 muscles in the face that help express emotions, if you are feeling it, your face will likely show it! Being able to name feelings helps growing children communicate with the world around them and better understand themselves. Knowing names for feelings—from joy to frustration to nervousness—is an important step in self-awareness. Using words to express feelings is a powerful strategy, but students will learn other ways to manage emotions. Let’s face it—feelings matter!
