Got wheels? Sure we do—and they make life a lot easier! For centuries humans have used critical thinking to invent devices that make their work more efficient. This STEM issue takes us on the road for a closer look at cars, trucks and trains—all devices that move people and things world wide. But these sources of transportation also run on fossil fuels—a nonrenewable resource that is having a negative impact on our planet’s environment. That’s where STEM steps in with ideas for new inventions to move vehicles that are cleaner and healthier for our planet. A win-win!
