Baseball … America’s favorite pastime! Outstanding players from teams all over the country are immortalized in America’s “Baseball Hall of Fame” for notable athletic skills and contributions to the game. But one “Hall of Famer” stands out for more than his remarkable talent on a baseball diamond. Jackie Robinson, born over 100 years ago, was the first Black American to play in the “all-white” major leagues. Throughout his life, Jackie broke barriers by attending college, excelling in multiple sports, and serving his country. But it was the character of the man that made him a real champion and inspiration to others. Meet Jackie Robinson—a true American leader!
