Proud of your hardworking parents? You should be! Workers make our nation stronger and collaborate for safe and fair working environments. The first Monday of September is time to celebrate the dignity of work on Labor Day. Over 100 years ago men and women in New York City formed craft unions to create better working conditions, wages and laws. Their ideas caught fire and spread across the country. Today we continue to honor working citizens with this special and unique holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada.
