45 people have as served as President of the United States since George Washington first took the oath of office in 1789. This noble service deserves special recognition, but celebrating each president’s birthday would take up too many days in our nation’s calendar! To solve this dilemma, one special day in February was set aside in 1885 to honor all the men who held this position. Originally established on the birthday of George Washington (February 22nd), Presidents’ Day was officially moved in 1971 to the third Monday of February. From Washington to Barack Obama, meet the members of the exclusive Presidents’ Club and discover unusual facts about their terms, famous roles and unique backgrounds.
