Pacific Plastic Problem

“Single-use” plastic items are abundant and too often end up where we don’t want them! Improper disposal of plastic cups, water bottlers, forks, plates or toys can harm ocean wildlife thousands of miles away. Careless tossing of plastic items on roadsides, in waterways, or flushed into sewage systems equals tons of garbage entering our ocean currents and traveling to remote mid-ocean locations. Environmentally unfriendly, plastic does not biodegrade, dissolve, compost or break down—and can result in injury and death when seabirds or fish consume even the tiniest amounts. But you can do something to help! Discover how to become an agent of change and stop the single-use waste starting in your own kitchen. By making a difference today you’ll contribute to a healthier planet tomorrow—and that means a brighter, safer, and better future for all earth’s inhabitants!
