Very visible during the holiday season is the reindeer. This issue looks more deeply into the unique features and structures of reindeer that enable them to survive in the coldest climates. Students will learn about the differences and similarities of reindeer and caribou, and why the reindeer is important to the survival of nomadic tribes in the arctic region.
