Our journey with Woodword continues as we race to the most unusual and one of the most beautiful planets in our solar neighborhood. Named in honor of the Roman god of agriculture, there’s not much that could grow on Saturn. This planet distinguishes itself in several stellar ways—its size, color, shape and composition. The second largest planet in our solar system could easily house over 700 planet Earths inside. Colorful rings circle a giant body of gases making it look more like a hat than a planet. Landing on Saturn would be impossible as it lacks a sturdy surface or land of any kind. We’ll appreciate this remarkable sphere from afar and save our solar system landing for another celestial body. Onward!
