Springtime showers help wildflowers “spring” to life and carpet hillsides with nature’s colorful bounty. Wildflowers—found in all 50 states, and throughout Canada and Mexico—seem to be everywhere this time of year! Our wildflower issue introduces budding botanists to some of the most common examples found throughout North American including fun facts and connections to certain locations. From buttercups to bluebonnets each wildflower tells a story in rich hues with distinctive features and qualities. Observe like a scientist and carefully render wildflowers in the right color tones. Discover which flowers grow in which regions. Then, find time to take a walk or hike, and you’ll be rewarded with a bright bountiful bunch of blooming beauties.
